The first big trip

I was 17 when I decided to go Machu Picchu. For us Brazilians, it is not that far, but I knew that in Cholera times, it would be tough. Specially because I had USD 500 for the whole trip.
It was incredible, through Bolivia, Peru and Chile. Deserts, mountais, lakes. Huge cities, small pueblos. The transportation: boots, bus, train, and dangerous hitch-hiking.
Results: 34 days, 3 countries, 500 dollars spent, 9 pounds lost and the desire to never draw foot from the road again.

The beginning

My first trip was when I was still very young. Serra do Cipó is a beautiful place, close to where I was born. My parents used to take us (my brothers and I) on crazy trips, without much planning, but to beautiful places. And when we asked where we were going, the answer was always the same: "Let's take a spin".
Many stones, woods, animals and adventures. Some injuries and lots of laughs and good memories. I never quit.
